Drink!

Drink! Progress and Upcoming Events

Greetings Cherry Picked Fans,

First off, it's crunch-time for Drink! We're working hard to finish our illustrations and get everything sent overseas. Our goal is to make the card-art fun, visually distinct, and clean. It's been an endeavor to get 150 of these out while not reusing ideas or jokes. You're worth it. Full disclosure: we are slightly behind schedule here. Nothing that should affect the deadline unless there are other delays later in manufacturing. We'll keep you posted.

We've starting getting our punch and party recipes for the backer chapbook. There's some delicious drinks bartenders have provided us. We'll make a few for the next CPG game night.

CPG will once again be part of Games on Demand at this year's Emerald City Comic Con. Our talented and attractive game masters will lead groups through the demon apocalypse Friday and Saturday. To comply with ECCC's policy towards demoing products, we will also be offering to run other RPGs. It'll be fun either way, but we think people will prefer a game with the developers over the alternative.

After that, we will be ordering our other Drink! rewards and doing Catalyst demos in Idaho and Eastern Washington. More details soon.

Cheers!

Drink! Update for March

(Reposted from the Kickstarter Page)

First off, please complete your surveys soon if you want to be credited in the game (or have your Skal-tier reward card). We are aiming to send off the game files to our manufacturer in China at the end of the month. After that, we really can’t add your name to any papers. Don’t worry about your address; that can be edited before we ship.

Boda Board Game Co. will be handling the manufacturing. By everyone’s best estimates of printing and shipping, copies of Drink! will arrive in Seattle with enough time for us to turn around and ship everything off by the end of June, as promised. We’ll keep you posted of any developments or troubles with our trans-Pacific cargo.

State-side, we’re finishing up the card artwork. The little slug-monsters are looking adorable; we’ll be posting more on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram soon.

Once the base game is ready and being printed, we’ll focus on the Kickstarter rewards (glasses, coasters, etc.) None of those involve a boat, so we’re not worried about getting glassware in your hands on time as well.

Recently, Cherry Picked Games joined up with the Indie Games Alliance. They will be helping us bring Drink! (and Catalyst) to a wider audience across the world. They also have the “minion” program for volunteers to demo assorted games in exchange for free games and convention access. If you’d like to get rewards for playing Drink! in a bar, sign up with IGA or talk to us.

Finally, we’ve been hosting game nights in Seattle. Every couple of weeks, we have friends and fans over for dinner, drinks, and gaming. The two so far have been super fun, so if you’re free, you should join in. We’ve been mixing up the days, so keep an eye on our social media for the next one.

Cheers!

VDay Roundup

Happy World Radio Day Cherry Picked Fans. We have a plethora of things happening this week.

Game night! Tomorrow, 2/14, CPG is hosting a board game night at our office (read: @CrustlessPunk's house). All manner of games will be welcomed and played. We are playtesting Drink!, so we'll provide some booze for that.

Catalyst Sale! Grab a copy of Catalyst and our Campaign Bundle for cheap. Our sale expands to Amazon, if you are addicted to Prime Shipping. Seattle's Card Kingdom is also doing a huge sale, with RPGs 40% off (seriously, locals: take advantage of that).

Polls are still open for the "Cascadia Militia" drop-in Catalyst sessions. Vote for when and where today.

If you missed it, check out our playthrough with Roll for Crit. It's a truly genuine Catalyst experience, complete with overly-complex plans, absurd characters, and brutal fights.

One of our art team members, Dinah Juergens, was featured in Make Space Zine. This zine focuses on womxn creatives across the Pacific Northwest. Look for Dinah's amazing paintings and interview in Issue #2.

Finally, Drink! is still being played on the CSz After Party Podcast after our blurry visit. Getting comedians intoxicated is one of the goals we had designing this game. Good to see it's living up to the potential.
