The CPG convention tour enters its next stretch with this weekend’s Big Bad Con. We are visiting this RPG and story game convention for our second time. We hope to see all our old friends and new fans this weekend in the Bay Area.
Due to the size of the con, we will not be fielding a booth. Instead, we have scheduled several games of Conspire and Catalyst. The con schedule is entirely online, so check out our Cherry Picked offerings alongside other wonderful, innovative games. We’ll also be playing whatever we can all weekend. If you need your Conspire fix, just stop someone wearing a Cherry Picked shirt. They always have time to share the truth.
For the first time, we are running an improv workshop at a convention. This workshop is specifically catered towards fans of RPGs and the table gaming community as a whole. It draws on a game-centric approach to teaching and theatre to cover the basics of agreement, creating stakes, living in the moment, and emotional honesty. Even better, Karen Twelves of Improv for Gamers is teaching another workshop specifically geared towards GMs. So much improv!
The Civic is packed. Now we begin the drive south. See you in San Francisco!
