Far Away - Arrival Status

Far Away - Arrival Status

Far Away is still stuck in the Seattle ports. We have been given the delivery estimate of next week (by the end of February). As you can see from our port scouting mission photos, the port is overflowing with containers, thanks to epidemic-induced shipping complications. Rest assured, we’ll get everyone’s games to them as soon as possible. Thank you for your support.

Far Away Retrospective - Iterative Design

Far Away Retrospective - Iterative Design

This is the second in a three-part retrospective series on Far Away. Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore the development or Far Away and the lessons learned along the way.

When I first started working with Alex, I had just started graphic design school. He offered me some cash to illustrate Drink! And we’ve been working together ever since. As I learned more in school, I was able to do more at Cherry Picked Games and it’s obvious with the progression of our games. Far Away was our largest and most challenging mission yet.

Far Away Retrospective - Where We've Been

Far Away Retrospective - Where We've Been

This is the first in a three-part retrospective series on Far Away. Over the next couple weeks, we’ll explore the development or Far Away and the lessons learned along the way.

In three years, Far Away went from an idea on a poll to an internationally sold game. It’s been an incredible journey thus far, with the best yet to come: real people getting the game. We wanted to take a meditative breather before the final stretch and reflect on how we got to this point. We’ll try to keep the navel-gazing to a minimum and focus on some lessons that may benefit aspiring designers in the audience.
